When the flame makes the difference!

We often get asked how the various qualities of wood we have on offer for your musical instruments actually differ. 

In the case of poplar tops for electric instruments, the figure or flame is certainly one of the elements that do make the difference. 

Here are some sample images of the different qualities of flame poplar, from the richest to the most essential: the E quality shows a denser pattern and a greater richness in the figuring. Such elements gradually reduce in the transition to I and II quality.

Whatever top you will choose, you can rest assured that each piece of wood is unique and unrepeatable and will certainly allow you to create a very special instrument!
